True Crime: Streets of L.A.

Nick beginning his pursuit down the runway with Rocky.

The "Good Ending" in True Crime: Streets of L.A. is the last mission of Episode VIII (Retribution) and is the ending obtained by players who managed to maintain a positive karma ranking while taking the longest path throughout the story (not following branching out episode paths).

After battling through Ancient Wu's trials, the truth is revealed by Wu: Rocky was formerly a plant by the KBG, who quickly turned criminal when given the opportunity. Alongside him was Don Rafferty, Henry Wilson's former partner.

Driving To Airport (Episode VIII - Mission 4)

Nick tracks the two to the Santa Monica airport, but is surprised by Jill and knocked unconscious.

Hangar Showdown (Episode VIII - Mission 5)

Once captured, Nick is told the rest of the story by Rocky: when Henry refused to be turned by Rocky or Rafferty, Rocky shot him in the head and dumped his body in the ocean. As Rocky prepares to kill Nick, Rafferty, in an attempt to redeem himself, jumps in front of the bullet fired at Nick, killing him instantly. Ancient Wu then telepathically assists in freeing Nick from his restraints, resulting in a shootout at the airport.

Jetting Away (Episode VIII - Mission 6)

Afterwards, Rocky attempts to flee in his jet, but Nick chases him down the runway in a red 1995 Ferrari F50, and manages to disable the aircraft, causing it to explode.

Finale: Puppet Master (Episode VIII - Mission 7)

The jet's explosion is seen ultimately killing Rocky just in time for The General to arrive, who explains to Nick that the Russians had stolen his money and that he is there to deal with any remaining loose ends. Seeing that he is The General's final loose end, Nick agrees to a fight.

Ending Movie (Episode VIII - Mission X)

If the player manages to overpower The General, Nick will win the fight just as the police arrive, and after some brief conversation between him, Rosie and The Chief, Nick is seen getting in the Ferrari from before and driving off as the camera begins to pan out, accompanied by a closing monologue from George (Christopher Walken).

Alt. Intro

However, if the player fails to defeat The General, Nick is found either dead or passed out by the arriving authorities, once again resulting in a closing monologue from George.

True Crime: New York City

Marcus and Terry in an altercation on the subway at the end of the game.

"Way of Honor", also known as the "Good Ending" or "Good Cop Ending" in True Crime: New York City, is the ending obtained by players who've maintained an overall "Good Cop" score throughout the main story.

Prime Suspect

With the knowledge of a bribe being set to get picked up at a locker in Grand Central Station by the OCU's mole (believed to be Victor Navarro), Reed calls Whitting, asking for a search warrant of Navarro's locker. Upon arriving, they find the money in his locker, although Navarro claims he has been set up.

Despite his plea of innocence, Whitting has Navarro arrested on charges of Conspiracy, Extortion and the Murder of Terrence Higgins. Shortly after, thinking that the case is now a closed one, Reed begins to head home. However, in the subway, he is approached by his presumed-to-be-dead mentor, Higgins, causing him to immediately come to the realization that Higgins was the department's mole all along. Knowing that Whitting was closing in on him, Higgins faked his own death and then set up Navarro to take the fall for his crimes. With this newly gathered information, Reed is asked by Higgins to join him, offering him a cut of his dirty money. However, Reed refuses, leading to Higgins threatening to expose his role in the game's opening massacre from 5 years before. This leads to Marcus boarding a passing subway train in pursuit of Higgins.

Way of Honor

After chasing Higgins to the front of the train, Reed begins to shoot at him right as he disconnects his end of the train. After a few carefully placed shots, Reed causes the front part of the train to flip over and explode, ultimately leading to the explosive death of Higgins (for real this time).

After having to race against the incoming implosion between the two parts of the train, Reed receives praise from Lt. Dixon, while Whitting ensures Reed that he'll have some strings pulled to get Reed's Father a hearing with the city's DA, in hopes of finally guaranteeing his release.
