The .50 Auto (or .50 Pistol) is a handgun that is chambered for .50 AE (action express), and is based on the Desert Eagle in Real life.  The Desert Eagle was designed in the US by Magnum Research but is now Manufactured primarily by IWI (Israel Weapon Industries) out of Israel.

In True Crime: Streets of LA, they are the final pair of guns that you are able to upgrade to.  It is shown to have a custom gold dragon inscription on the grip.

In True Crime: NYC, it is capable of killing in a single bullet, and often dismembers its targets.

In TC: NYC, it has a magazine capacity of 7 rounds, like the real life variant.  This is in contrast with TC: SoLA, where they have a capacity near to double that per gun.
